Every member signs a confidentiality agreement before they are allowed into the group. This is a legal binding agreement between the members of the group.
The annual membership is $10,000
Each group will have upto 12 members. Each member will bring experiences and insight that you can't get anywhere else. In essence we are bringing in experts from all over the country to help you grow your business. We have been members of a twenty group for over 10 years, and it has more than paid for it self every year.
Once the group has been set up. Every member will have a two hour onboarding meeting through Zoom. In this meeting we will go over how to get the numbers that will be needed. We will go over what to expect for the onsite meeting. The first meeting will be at a predetermined location. The first meeting is only a numbers meeting and brainstorming session. At this meeting we will determine the locations and dates that we will visit.
No. The host company will let the group know the best place to stay. Each group member is responsible for the cost of travel and lodging.
The Short answer is yes. Let's face it you have put out a pretty hefty investment to be part of the group. There are exception, but we make it a practice to attend every meeting.
That is not a problem, most towers don't have an accounting background. That's why we have Pat our Financial expert to help you with your numbers. He can help you set up your quickbooks so that it is easy to understand and easy to share your numbers with the group. Pat has put together an easy to use spreadsheet so that we all are looking at the same comparable numbers.
As the Host company, we ask that you find us rooms for the three nights that we are there. It is nice to all stay at the same hotel. As a group we learn so much about each others business when we socialize before and after the meeting. The Host company is also responsible for a meeting room, lunches and 1 dinner.
The Simplest answer is whatever you put into it. Meeting with 8-12 others owners that you don't compete with, gives you insight into how they are doing business. Being in a 20 group give you access to other professionals(usually very successful owners) that are eager to help you with your business. You get "community."
No, every month we do an accountability call. How often do you go to a tow show and learn really valuable information that you want to put to use and yet it never gets done. If you are like me, it used to happen all the time. With the 20 group we do a zoom call once a month to check on your progress.
That is very true, you could. What we have found though, without the right facilitator you end up waisting a lot of time. It takes time to drill down the numbers that are important, and the questions that need to be asked at the on-site visit. We have been part of other groups that tried this, and it always fizzles out after the first meeting. We have been doing this for over 10 years.
